  • BEM Static Fire Test Report | March 30th, 2026

    This test represents the maiden static fire of the BEM (Ballistic Evaluation Motor) engine utilizing an Ammonium Perchlorate Composite Propellant (APCP) formulation (AP/HTPB). The primary objective is to acquire high-fidelity, real-world empirical data on the engine’s performance with this newly developed propellant. Analyzing the combustion characteristics of this formulation will allow us to accurately characterize its ballistic properties, refine our internal simulation models, and predict the behavior of future test articles with much higher certainty. Ultimately, this baseline test is a critical step toward securing an optimal, highly reliable propulsion system to fulfill our final objective at the European Rocketry Challenge (EUROC).
